Amanda is an 18 year-old high school senior from NY, NY. Allergies run in her family. She was diagnosed with peanut allergies at the age of 2, entered her first clinical trial at the age of 11, and entered her second clinical trial at the age of 15. After two clinical trials were proved unsuccessful for her, she turned to research. She interned at the pediatric lab of allergy and immunology at Mount Sinai throughout her junior year of HS.
